Please contact admissions@nhfilmexpo.com with any questions. Yearbook Advertising:
Secure your Yearbook space now! Again this year we will offer the opportunity for families to purchase space in the yearbook to include a personal congratulatory message or advertisement. The deadline for all completed ad pages is March 10, 2024. Further information on placing an ad.
Lower School: • In honor of National Comfy Day and National Love Your Pet Day, which coincidentally fall on the same day, Lower School students are encouraged to wear play clothes or pajamas to school on Tuesday, February 20
. The Student Council will award ten points to the color team of any Lower School student who brings in a stuffed animal and/or a photo of a family pet or a pet they would like to have. • On Friday, February 23, the Lower School will hold its Winter Wellness Celebration
. Lower School classes will head to the gym after drop-off to participate in an hour's worth of wellness activities designed by Mrs. Dyball and our IIIrd Formers. Students will rotate in groups through a series of stations promoting health and wellness. From meditation and breathing activities to real-life rounds of Hungry Hippos and nutrition trivia, everyone is excited about this up-and-coming event! Students should wear athletic clothing and, of course, sneakers. •
Lower Schoolers have until Monday, February 19, to sign up for this year’s Air Band Show, where participants lip-sync and choreograph dances to music without singing or playing live instruments. Currently, there are sixteen groups signed up to perform! The show will occur on Friday, March 1, at 12:45 p.m. in the Maxwell A. Sarofim '05 Performing Arts Center. Family and Friends are invited to attend, and students may depart with families after the show. Sign-Up Sheet and Additional Details. • On Monday, February 26, the Lower School Student Council partnered with Mrs. Romaniello to organize our first-ever Dress Up As Your Favorite Idiom Spirit Day
. Instead of Formal School Dress, come dressed as an idiom and be prepared to explain it to others. Here is your chance to get creative! For example, if you wanted to come dressed as the idiom “smarty pants,” you could stick smarties or wrappers to your pants. This is just one of many ways to show you blue dog spirit and earn fifteen points for your color team. Students who choose not to take part are to wear Formal School Dress. For more examples of idioms, please see the following LINK. All Boarding Parents/Guardians: • Spring Recess Pass: The Spring Recess pass is now available on the Orah app. Please submit your child's travel plans for the break as soon as possible. This needs to be completed regardless of mode of transportation. For those who will need assistance with transportation, we request that passes be completed by February 19 to allow time to coordinate the arrangements. If your student’s travel plans involve missing any academic days, you will need to contact Phil Perreault, pperreault@nhfilmexpo.com. All other questions or concerns can be directed to Rachel Ribetti SanFanAndre, travel@nhfilmexpo.com.
• Extra Travel Money Requests: Requests for extra travel money need to be submitted by Monday, February 19 to Gena Newman: gnewman@nhfilmexpo.com. After that date, we will not be able to accommodate extra money requests. |

Please join us for the Pavek Cup on February 24th and 25th,
where the ice at Lufkin Rink will be alive with the thrill of competition and the warmth of community. This year, we gather not only to celebrate the sport we love, but also to honor the memory of Joe Garassino '99, a cherished member of the Rumsey Hall family whose spirit continues to inspire us all. Joe's journey at Rumsey spanned seven formative years, leaving an indelible mark on the campus and the hearts of all who knew him.
As you walk the grounds of Rumsey Hall, you will encounter reminders of Joe's enduring legacy. From the M. Joseph Garassino '99 Classroom Building, where young minds are nurtured and inspired, to the tranquil spot by the river adorned with Joe's poignant yearbook quote by James Dean, his presence is felt in every corner of the campus. Despite facing unimaginable challenges in his battle with cancer, Joe's unwavering positivity and strength of spirit continue to resonate with all who knew him.
Join us for two days of exhilarating hockey action as teams compete for the coveted Pavek Cup, all while supporting a cause dear to Joe's heart. In his final days, Joe's journal was filled with words of resilience and hope, a testament to his remarkable courage in the face of adversity. Let's come together to honor Joe's memory and raise funds for the Joe Garassino Foundation, ensuring that his legacy of kindness and compassion lives on. Your presence and support at the Pavek Cup will make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer in our community. |
